Check out the Summer Program at the Philmont Training Center athe Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimmarron, New Mexico.

The Philmont Training Center offers a variety of summer programs, training and conferences for Scouting volunteers from all backgrounds, and provides a way to combine learning with a family adventure vacation.

Garden State Council Philmont Ambassador David Lyons has put together an abridged flyer and Key to courses (see below) to help identify which summer programs may be right for you. Click here for the flyer.

In addition, please check out the Philmont Training Center website to see what other opportunities are available including the Individual Opportunity programs and Family Programs. Individual Opportunities (which a Scout can attend without a unit) include a range of Treks for Boy Scouts, Venturing Crews and OA members that deal with horse back riding, leadership and outdoor skills, environmental science and natural resource management, trail construction and maintenence, and STEM adventures.  

Note: If the Key 3 from the district or council wants to attend, all three can attend but the group is only charged for two.
