 The White Horse District proudly serves all of Camden County, New Jersey and its 37 municipalities -- Audubon, Audubon Park, Barrington, Bellmawr, Berlin Borough, Berlin Township, Brooklawn, Camden City, Chesilhurst, Clementon, Collingswood, Cherry Hill, Gibbsboro, Gloucester City, Gloucester Township, Haddon Township, Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Hi-Nella, Laurel Springs, Lawnside, Lindenwold, Magnolia, Merchantville, Mt. ROUNDTABLE

Join us the second Tuesday of each month at the Glen Landing Middle School, 85 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012.  We gather at 7:00PM.  Get information, meet other Scouters, share your experiences, and ask any questions you may have. 

NOTE: For June, August and September - Roundtable is at the Cub Pavilion at the Pine Hill Scout Reservation.  There is no roundtable in July.

Charters

Thank you to all the units who submitted their re-charters.  For those units who have not, please submit your charter as soon as you can.  Each chartered organization will be contacted by the District Executive to confirm their decision on "family scouting" and to sign their 2019 Charter Agreement.

The White Horse District has 2 Membership Incentives for the Fall of 2018.  

1. Recruit at least 6 new Scouts (or Venturers or Explorers) and receive ONE FREE lane at our Family Bowling Event on November 4th at The Big Event in Cherry Hill.

2. Enroll the most Lions this Fall and receive a FREE ice cream social at a 2019 Pack Meeting.

Council Incentives:

Free rocket to all new scouts.  October 28th is the big rocket launch day at Pine Hill Scout Reservation!

Boy Scout Troops - For every new scout recruited, the boy who did the recruiting gets a $10 credit at the Scout Store (to be used by December 31, 2018) and for every 3 "new to scouting" boy scouts recruited, the troop receives a $25 store credit to be used by December 31, 2018.  New to scouting means the new boy has never been registered in Scout

District Committee Meetings (led by the District Chair) are held the first Thursdays (usually) at 7PM -- 1st Baptist Church of Haddonfield 124 Kings Hwy East. Committee and Activity Chairs should be prepared to bring updates and present a report regarding their area of operations. 

Are you looking to serve on our District Committee?  We're always looking for Scout leaders and community leaders -- including those without direct Scout experience -- to help.  If you're interested in serving (or know somebody who may be), please contact our District Chair Mike Borinski.

Training Opportunities!

Delaware Riverkeeper Service and Learning Opportunities

The Delaware Riverkeeper has several opportunities for Scouts to learn about the Delaware River ecosystem and to participate in several service opportunities and to learn about the delicate ecosystem.  Events such as Horseshoe Crab Surveying, identifying aquatic insects, birds, plants, fish, mushrooms, etc.  There is also the opportunity for a day hike to learn of the history of Petty's Island, and a night hike on Petty's Island to learn about bats and their important role in nature!  Download these fliers for more information.

White Horse District Pinewood Derby

Race Results Are Posted!

Become one of the millions of Cub Scouts who have been building and racing Pinewood Derby® cars since 1953. Partnered with a parent or adult mentor, Cub Scouts work together, strengthening bonds and building confidence – and their own custom race cars! They begin by choosing a car design, then carve it out and detail it with paint, decals and other accessories, and perfect strategies to compete in their pack's own Pinewood Derby. It's s a wonderful learning experience centered on teamwork, ingenuity and sportsmanship – all for the thrill of the race and a lifetime of great memories to share with fellow racers young and old.

Weigh-In: March 4, 2018 9am to 1pm at Runnemede Scout Building, Sheppard and Holly Avenue, Runnemede, NJ

Race: March 18, 2018 **NEW DATE** at the Voorhees Town Center 11am to 4pm
