Scouting For Food

Welcome to the Scouting for Food Page!

The Scouting for Food Drive began as a National Good Turn in 1988 and the tradition continues every year at the Garden State Council!

The food drive, which collects non-perishable items, provides much needed food items to help fight hunger in our communities. One out of five children and one out of every twelve households with seniors go hungry in New Jersey.  In New Jersey alone, 900,000 people rely on food banks just to survive.

All Scouting units are encouraged to participate in the annual Scouting for Food Drive.

Important dates for the 2018 drive:

NOTE: Bags will be distributed at all October Roundtables.      Fill out this form to have your bags ready and waiting for you

Scouting for Food flyer templates that your unit, or an individual Scout, can customize, print and attach to the bags are available for download. The flyers are generic so they can be used for all Scouting units. Click here for the 3 per page version, and here for the single page version.
